About This Anthology
This anthology began with a beautiful soul and an idea that wouldn't let go. Over the years, the
Eyeconic family has grown — and it is still growing, rapidly, with intention.
Along the way, we found something unexpected: more Eyecons. More voices. More people carrying
the same fire we carry. Voices of Eyecons is what happens when that fire gets a page.
This is more than a book. It's a time capsule — the same way the '90s captured
a culture in its fullest, most honest expression. What you write here will touch people today. But
the real point is further out. When someone finds this anthology in 100 to 150 years,
what will they know about your voice? What will they understand about Black and Latino life in this
moment — not through someone else's lens, but through yours?
We are not looking for perfect. We are looking for real. Your words. Your stories.
Your truth. The Eyeconic community has always been built on authenticity — this anthology is
that spirit in print.
